What Does CDP Work For?
CDP, which enables the realization of these important events and award ceremonies, works especially to reduce the impact of climate change. At the same time, CDP, which creates different initiatives with a purpose such as protecting natural resources, also works to change the way the business world operates.
Within its framework, CDP recognizes the world as a place where long-term prosperity can be achieved and effective resources are distributed correctly, rather than an area used to achieve short-term gains. In this context, CDP Climate Change Program and CDP Water Program are two important programs.
What is the CDP Climate Change Program?
The climate change program collects information that will enable companies, investors and governments to take measures against the risk of climate change. After this information is shared, approximately 8,000 companies voluntarily disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change methods to the public and investors through CDP.
What is the CDP Water Program?
The CDP platform believes that the private sector has responsibilities, especially in terms of water. In this sense, it offers a platform where they can be made public by transparently disclosing their water use and impacts on water resources in order to provide incentives for them to fulfill their responsibilities. It even calls on companies to take action to develop water conservation strategies.
